1/2 box (6 oz.) of Mrs. Cubbison's Traditional Seasoned Stuffing or Seasoned Corn Bread Stuffing
1/2 medium onion, chopped or grated
1/2 cup chopped celery
1 red apple, cored and chopped or grated
1/2 cup chopped walnuts, optional
1 cup or about 20 dried Sunsweet pitted prunes
Zest of 1 orange, optional
2 sprigs fresh parsley, chopped
1 cup orange juice, apple juice, water or a combination of them
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
In a large bowl, add all the ingredients. Mix to blend and place in a greased loaf pan, or grease a 12 muffin tin, stuff acorn squash halves, or place in a greased 2 quart casserole.
Bake on middle rack of preheated 350°F oven for 20 to 30 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F and the top is slightly crisp.
